Procedures for verifying birth certificate online
Step 1: First, visit the official website
Open any web browser on your laptop or mobile like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari and go to the official website of the Birth and Death Registration Office https://everify.bdris.gov.bd. There you will first see the verification page. This is basically the official portal website of the government, so be sure that your information is safe.
Step-2: Enter your information
On the webpage, you will see a simple form with three blank spaces:
- Birth Certificate Number: Here you will enter your 17-digit BRN. However, make sure that there are no spaces or hyphens.
- Date of Birth: Enter your date of birth in YYYY-MM-DD format. For example, if your birthday is December 4, 1996, then it will be written as 1996-12-04.
- Captcha: This blank space contains a simple mathematical problem like, "What is 53 minus 15?". This is actually a security check, which proves that you are not a robot. And, just type the correct answer in the box.
Step-3: Click on the “Search” option to view your details
After filling in the information correctly, click on the “Search” option. If the information you provided matches the government database, then you will immediately see your birth certificate information on the screen. To confirm that this is your online birth certificate verification copy, you will see
- Your birth certificate number
- Your date of birth
- Your full name (in both English and Bengali)
- Your gender
- Your parents’ names
- Your place of birth

What if my birth certificate copy is not found in the records?
