Computer speaker specialist Altec Lansing has a new system on the block in the shape of the VS4621.
The odd-looking 2.1 speaker system is intended to be used with computers, laptops, MP3 players or even TVs and is the replacement model for the VS4121 series. It features a brace of downward-firing 3in midrange drivers which AC says are designed to be placed on a hard surface to help disperse the sound. It also includes two 1in treble drivers, as well as a large 6.5in side-firing subwoofer and a 3.5mm aux input.
Adrian Bedgood, Altec Lansing's consumer marketing manager, said: “With digital media playing a bigger role in our daily lives, we designed this compact computer speaker with a wide range of users in mind. “The down-firing drivers combined with a compact design delivers a well balanced sound regardless of what type of music, game or movie is being viewed.”
